Responsibilities Work in the Clinical Support Unit Float Pool within an acute care hospital setting Float to ICU and critical care units across Boise, Meridian, and Nampa facilities, with coverage strictly within specialty Shift schedule is 7P-7A with weekends as needed Patient ratios for ICU are 1 : 1-2 Float pool may require floating between facilities and units during a shift, including 1 : 1 sitter assignments Travelers are prioritized to float as unit needs arise Epic EMR is used; prior Epic experience is strongly preferred Primary responsibilities include providing ICU-level care and adapting to different hospital environments as needed No self-scheduling; assignments are communicated via app one hour prior to each shift Charge nurse present on every unit and shift; float pool offers strong leadership support and regular check-ins with travelers Orientation includes a meet-and-greet on day one plus three shifts of inpatient orientation No specific scrub color required but attire must be clean and professional Prior permanent employees must have a 12-month gap before returning as a traveler Holiday shifts may be required if coverage is needed Requirements Active ID or compact state RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC Ability to titrate drips in ICU Driver’s license required Two recent professional references, including one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-637523.
