Job Description:
- The Vendor Manager at Client is responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with key vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. This role involves monitoring vendor performance, enforcing contract terms, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement strategic planning and best practices in risk management.
- The Vendor Manager is responsible for analyzing and managing vendor costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements. They regularly prepare and present reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to leadership. Through their expertise in operations, logistics, supply chain, and inventory management, they significantly contribute to the operational excellence and strategic goals of Client.
- The Vendor Manager will play a critical role in supporting the successful execution of Client’s Elevate initiative, a strategic effort focused on transforming and optimizing supply chain operations, vendor performance, and end-to-end material flow. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders in logistics, procurement, repair operations, inventory planning, and vendor management to drive efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across Elevate workstreams.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Approximate Percent of Time - Partner with Supply Chain leadership and cross-functional teams to support key deliverables under the Elevate program, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and performance targets. %
- Oversees vendor performance and relationships to ensure contract compliance, efficiency, and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. %
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement strategic planning and best practices in vendor and supplier relationship management and risk management %
- Analyzes and manages vendor costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements %
- Prepares and presents reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to leadership %
- Contributes to the operational excellence and strategic goals of the organization through expertise in operations, logistics, supply chain, and inventory management %
- Participates in other duties or projects as assigned by business management as needed %.
