Submarine Combat Support Center (SC2) Deployed Systems

Background :

PMS 425 currently tasks NUWC Code 2514 to provide real-time fleet[RC1] support for Combat Control systems, including ISEA, Chat, and technical support. The Submarine Combat Support Center (SC)2 is connected to classified and unclassified networks, as well as FAX, telephone, secure voice and chat services.[RC2]

This position is for a member of the (SC)2 Deployed Systems Team and will be supporting the BYG-1 deployed System Lead.

Specific Job Duties / Requirements :

As a member of the BYG-1 Deployed Systems Team, you will be responsible for the following and other duties as required :

Technical :

• CASREPs : Coordinate with NAVSUP and NUWC to fulfill parts requests as quickly as possible and track each case to closure.
• SUB Requests : Manage formal technical assistance requests from submarines; Coordinate with BYG-1 IPTs and leadership to provide technical analysis and guidance. Track through resolution.
• Fleet Communications (Email / Phone) : Respond to informal fleet requests by providing technical support and guidance, ensuring all interactions are documented and closed out.
• Chat Alarm Call List : Provide 24 / 7 on-call support. If a submarine triggers the alarm, the assigned team member must respond promptly, arrive onsite or log in within one hour, and support troubleshooting until resolution. Coordinate responses with other programs during off hours if a platform rings the alarm for non BYG-1 issues.
• Fleet Issues Tracker : Maintain a comprehensive log of all BYG-1 related CASREPs, SUBs, and fleet communications (email, phone, and chat). Distribute updates daily via SIPR channels to TYCOM, Squadron, and (SC)² stakeholders and Program Office (O-6 level).
• BYG SIPR Website Maintenance : Upload and maintain all technical documentation, including IETMs, RRMs, TOCSIN newsletters, System Notes, and advisories.
• Installation Support : Investigate and analyze issues identified during system installation to determine root cause and provide corrective recommendations. Providing on-site technical assistance
• Status Boards : Update SUBLANT / SUBPAC fleet status boards within (SC)² based on current data from the Fleet Issues Tracker.
