Salary Range : $44,000 - $47,000
Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor I is responsible for leading hub associates and / or temp workers in warehouse operations and activities including the receiving, sorting, and scanning inbound freight. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring procedures and operations increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership to hub associatesSupervise hub associates and / or temp workersManage staffing schedules of associates and / or temp workers based on volume projections to help meet specific metric related goalsOrganize stocks and maintain inventoryInspect products for defects and damagesExamine incoming freightReceive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriatelyOversee the sort process to ensure it is done in an efficient mannerEnsure team abides by all company safety and hygiene regulationsCollaborate with day shift transportation teamContribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing proceduresKeep warehouse clean and organized dailyOther duties as assignedQualifications, Skills, & Abilities
