Job description

Position :

  • Veterinary Assistant   Classification : This is a nonexempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)   Please direct all additional questions and correspondence about this position to pawsbayah@outlook.com About Us :    Paws Bay Animal Hospital is a new privately owned hospital opening March 31, 2025.

  • Heather Highbrown.

  • We can’t wait for you to join the team!!     The purpose of this position is to serve as a Veterinary Assistant at Paws Bay Animal Hospital.
  • The Veterinary Assistant will help the technicians, doctors, and receptionists in all duties of the hospital.

Job tasks include but are not limited to :

  • Upkeep the cleanliness of the hospital, patient wards, cages, and runs - responsible for the daily care of our patients, including walking, feeding, and recording of animal weight, appetite, and other information as directed - assist the doctors and technicians with restraint and other responsibilities according to individual abilities and training.   - all staff will assist with receptionist tasks including answering phones, follow-up with clients, checking out clients, etc   Position type and expected hours of work :
  • Initially this will be a part time position as we will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

    • Additional days will be added as we become busier.   - we are also accepting applications for 1-2 shifts per week

  • Shifts are 8 :
  • 30 am – 6 pm with 1 hour lunch
  • We will be closed major holidays   Education and Experience :    Highschool diploma preferred   Powered by JazzHR
