Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and specialized certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Care for a diverse patient population with both simple and complex health issues
  • Level 1 trauma experience required
  • No local candidates will be considered if residing within a 50-mile radius
  • Provide nursing care to patients ranging from routine to complex labor & delivery cases
  • Support physicians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments
  • Monitor patient physiological data and intervene as needed
  • Administer medications and intravenous therapies
  • Document patient responses and communicate care plans with families
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • Adheres to trauma-level protocols and keeps accurate medical records
  • Compliance with trauma unit dress code and hospital policies is expected

    • Requirements

  • Active OK or compact RN license required
  • Current AHA-issued BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
  • Current NRP Advance Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
  • Minimum of one year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required; BSN or MSN preferred
  • Some computer skills required
