Material Planning Lead
Material Planning Lead is a supervisory and oversight role. Primary role and mission : Ensuring the timely and accurate flow of components into the Estee Lauder plants and Third-Party facilities globally. Drives planning strategies, analysis and coordination of material purchases to achieve supply commits, customer service, inventory and purchasing objectives, whilst minimizing total cost to the business. Drives strategic journey with suppliers and addresses supply gaps with suppliers in collaboration with GSR. Make our suppliers agile and reliable managing suppliers' performance on service / cash / quality / agility KPIs. Responsible for ensuring material constraint resolution in the tactical and operational horizon, driving stakeholders' alignment on Materials short term and long term Constraints and action plans to mitigate it.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, manage and develop a Material Planning team (i.e., performance reviews, goal setting, mentorship, etc.)
- Accountable for materials service, supporting finished goods production plans and maintain finished goods supply.
- Identify and understand supply (material / components) risk, drive action plan to resolve and / or reduce the risk and escalate to senior leadership.
- Drive operational / strategic horizon material / component requirement at commodity level and provide visibility to strategic suppliers. Work with GSR to define and implement strategies to de-bottleneck capacity.
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure required delivery dates are met, Resolve escalated issues within execution horizon, eg. expedite / de-expedite not agreed by suppliers, volume change etc. to support material schedulers.
- Communicating / provide visibility into material constraints, changes to the supplier delivery dates and any bottlenecks (operational) to Global MPS Planner / TPM Planner.
- Identify strategy / segmentation / planning strategies to increase agility i.e. PDT or MLS reduction with supplies.
- Manage supplier performance
- Develop material planning and inventory strategies for assignment material / component category / commodity
- Contribute towards department business goals and KPI's
Qualifications :
Preferably MBA or relevant post graduate degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field; bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field (minimum)Minimum 4-6 years of related experience in Supply Chain, preferably with experience in leading material planning, supply planning, sourcing / purchasing and supplier management within the beauty / cosmetic industryDeep business acumen, preferred from fashion or premium luxury businessDeep knowledge of supplier management / collaboration, inventory management and procurementDemonstrated ability to manage and develop teamsAdvanced knowledge of, and experience of raw material, packaging for beauty / cosmetic industry productsAdvanced knowledge of, and experience with sourcing and supplier management activities for raw material / packaging suppliers within the beauty / cosmetic industryKnowledge of, and experience with supply planning and supplier collaboration tools (e.g., SAP, E2Open, Kinaxis, etc.)Capabilities :
