Medical Sales Representative, Vascular, Los Angeles, CA

The Sales Representative will sell the full or near full bag of Teleflex Vascular products. The position will focus within a defined medium to large size territory with new and existing business accounts while developing and maintaining long-term relationships with hospital personnel to facilitate future sales growth. Additional call points are within nursing : PICC / VAS nurses, IV Nurse, Critical Care Nurses and Oncology Nurses.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct sales appointments to present products to key clinical and purchasing decision-makers.
  • Follow up on presentations to drive orders and maintain customer engagement.
  • Provide hospitals and clinicians with product information, samples, and educational support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support territory projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage a small to mid-sized territory, including planning, coverage, and performance goals.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in coordination with internal departments.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including leads from quarterly campaigns.
  • Deliver in-service training and seminars to hospital staff, including during shift changes.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing; monitor expiring agreements for timely follow-up.
  • Track territory expenses and stay current on industry trends and competitive products.
  • Represent the company at national and local conventions and professional meetings.
  • Support event logistics and booth setup as needed.
  • Train new field and internal personnel on divisional products.
  • Ensure compliance with Teleflex's Code of Conduct and company policies.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 -5+ years of hospital and / or B2B Sales
  • Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Complete gowning procedures in hospital.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain vendor credentials (via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc) to have the ability to enter and work, as required, in hospitals and other medical facilities, as an essential function of the job.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and operate a motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.
  • Carry detail bag weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Lift equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Be standing or walking in numerous hospitals or at meetings for 6 - 10 hours per day, up to five (5) days per week.
  • The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $75,000-$180,000 (inclusive of commissions) however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Commissions will also vary depending on individual performance. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position," and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
