Fixed Assets Accountant

The Fixed Assets Accountant reports to the Fixed Asset Team Lead and will work out of our Service Center located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a bachelor's degree in accounting and 1-3 years of experience working as a General Staff Accountant. Experience with fixed asset accounting is a plus.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Review and analyze monthly account activity; prepare correcting journal entries when needed.
• Analyze and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, including various Receivable, Prepaid, and Accrual accounts. Investigate and follow up on any variances or unusual items.
• Maintain fixed asset ledger, including recording asset additions and disposals, and reconciling balances to the general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with current asset capitalization policies and guidelines.
• Provide support for audits and internal reporting as needed.
• Other duties as assigned in support of accounting department.

This is an in-person position at our NHA Service Center located at 3850 Broadmoor Ave., Grand Rapids, MI.
