PCU RN Job Details – Columbus, OH Estimated Weekly Salary : $1940 - $1990 Position Type : Locum tenens (Travel RN Contract) Location : Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs) Unit : 8 BSH Neuro Surgery – Progressive Care Unit Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 – 07 : 30) Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 3 / 2025 – End : 2 / 2 / 2026) Patient Ratio : 1 : 3-4 Orientation : 24 hours Float : Required to float to other hospital units as needed Weekend / Holiday Coverage : Rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Ohio or compact state license) – required for Ohio healthcare jobs Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Medical-Surgical RN experience Travel nurse experience preferred Proficiency with Epic EMR charting system Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing Two professional references (one from nurse manager / director or formal leadership) PCU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a neuro-surgical Progressive Care Unit Manage patient ratios of 1 : 3-4, caring for complex neurological diagnoses (epilepsy, stroke, MS, traumatic brain injury) Perform specialized procedures : lumbar drains, EVD monitoring, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, cardiac and insulin drip management Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services) Float to other units within the OSU healthcare organization as needed Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays Comply with all credentialing and healthcare compliance requirements Experience the best of Columbus, Ohio while working in a progressive healthcare environment.
