Document Control Manager

At Jacobs we are looking for a Document Control Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The Manager of Document Controls is responsible for managing the document control department to ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. A significant task for this position is to establish document control procedures and to validate the current filing protocol for projects in planning, design, and implementation stages. Another task is to develop and manage document protocol for versioning documents, archiving, and retrieving documents.
Responsibilities include :
- Lead and manage a team of document control professionals, providing them with clear guidance and support.
- Take charge of the installation, administration, and ongoing maintenance of the Document Management System (DMS).
- Thoroughly understand and implement the requirements for maintaining project record documents as specified in project contracts.
- Assess and validate the client's filing protocol process to identify strengths and weaknesses.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Document Control System that includes automated tracking logs and workflows.
- Ensure the systematic organization of all contract documents within a structured filing protocol.
- Supervise the efficient processing of all incoming and outgoing program documentation.
- Create, develop, and implement comprehensive policies and procedures for document control.
- Assume responsibility for the management and oversight of the Document Control office / department within the capital program.
- Skilled in analyzing and solving problems related to document control, management, versioning, archiving, and retrieval.
- Capable of prioritizing and organizing work efforts for both one and staff.
- Possesses supervisory skills for daily operations and provides necessary training for individuals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures, including the interpretation of requirements when necessary.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills when collaborating with various departments and personalities to achieve mission success.
- Able to effectively communicate before clients, contractors, or employees of the organization.
- Understands the organizational structure of programs and projects and enforces vetting and filing protocols.
- Comprehends project delivery programs in terms of potential documents and their filing requirements, paying attention to terminology and project stages.
- Possesses outstanding computer skills, proficient in the MS Office productivity suite, including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experienced in using both large-format and small-format plotters, printers, and scanners.
- Understands the use of relational databases.
Here's what you'll need :
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Manager of Document Control in a supervisory role; orMinimum of ten (10) plus years' experience in Construction Management, Program Management, and / or Construction Industry.BA or BS in Business ManagementThe base salary range for this position is $139,360.00 to $156,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
