People & Property Services Manager

Toyota's Corporate Shared Services (CSS) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated People & Property Services (P&PS) Manager to lead our services at the R&D locations in Ann Arbor and York, MI as well as regionally (Northeast).
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and implement both regional and national strategies within the organization. You will also work with site executives and CSS leadership to create commodity / service roadmaps.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of People & Property Services Site Operations, this role plays a key part in creating an exceptional workplace experience. You'll help drive the CSS department's mission to deliver top-tier facilities and services including dining, janitorial, landscaping, pest control, and fitness programs; ensuring our team members enjoy a safe, clean, and vibrant environment that keeps Toyota one of the best places to work.
Provide leadership and direction to their site operations services team. This includes :
- Day-to-day supplier management to meet performance, expectations, budget, and quality targets.
- Gathering information to support service level KPIs for multiple commodities / services across multiple locations within their designated region.
- Analyzing trends within the site(s) and regions to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Optimizing resources to execute the strategic direction amongst site(s) supported and capacity / capability of direct reports.
- Managing a multi-million-dollar budget by ensuring strategy / contracts are in place, POs are issued, invoices confirmed and status is tracked on a monthly basis.
Demonstrate capabilities to develop plans, gain executive consensus and manage leaders that execute projects of varied sizes and types concurrently
Using solid judgement to escalate issues to appropriate groups with proposed countermeasures and / or gain approval from decision makers.Driving projects through to completion.Leading, initiating, and facilitating quarterly updates with executives.Create and deliver to management KPIs and performance related updates for site services. This would include :
Incorporating site executive feedback and sharing with peer managers, and above, issues or change points.Analyzing KPI to identify gaps and create potential countermeasures that can be shared across multiple regions to close gaps.Overall team member development for their regional analysts.
Lead and coach teams in Toyota Business Practice (TBP) problem solving to identify root causes and implement sustainable, systemic countermeasures guided by OJD philosophies.Champion JKK thinking to foster innovative and efficient process development across the organization.Provide input to peer managers, and above, on current issues, site's organizational change or service level gaps
Lead cross-functional teams to develop standard processes across the organization (People, Process, Systems / Tools, Reporting, etc.).What you bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to mentor and coach internal teams and / or manage suppliers for a large corporation.Demonstrated ability to coach Toyota Business Practice-based problem solving to resolve issues with systemic, sustainable countermeasures using OJD philosophies.Strong demonstrated process and project management skills.Strong communication skills to influence and persuade others and to create and present concepts and recommendations to executive management.Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Package (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook).Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, up to 25% of the time.Willingness to work overtime up to 25% of the time including weekends.This position requires driving.
