Job descriptionRemind patients of MyCare Initiatives, such as “Call Us First.” Maintain patient flow after check-in; ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner, preferably within a 15 minute or less wait time. Clean and sterilize equipment, restock patient rooms and labs with appropriate supplies. Maintain medical supply inventory to ensure stock. Perform height, weight, vital sign and vision tests, recording them within the eHR system (eClinicalWorks [eCW]); identify chief complaints and record observations. Perform triage as soon as chart is ready. Make patients comfortable with in-office bedside manner (e.g., prioritize privacy, patience and empathy); Actively listen to concerns, and document accordingly. Manage inbound and outbound phone calls as required, including patient scheduling, appointment reminders, insurance verification and eligibility, assisting with patient requests and inquiries, and following-up with patients post-appointment, especially walk-ins, urgent care, and Transitional Care Management (TCM) patients. Coordinating and collaborating with healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and specialists to ensure optimal patient care. Communicate to physicians abnormal test results, assist providers with treatments and examinations, and transcribe providers’ orders. Conduct tests and procedures as directed, such as EKGs, non-stress tests, mini cog, spirometer, venipunctures, skin punctures, strep screen, glucometer, and blood tests, and urine tests. Under the direction of the Area Director, assist with scheduling, reporting, and other projects to advance MyCare initiatives. This can include, but is not limited to : Assisting with communications to clinic leadership and staff. Providing administrative support to respective Area Director. 2 years working in a medical office setting, preferably in a Primary Care setting. At least 2 years of working as a Medical Assistant in Primary Care. Medical Assistant Certificate issued by an accredited institution or applicable experience. Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred, but not required Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excel experience is a must have, as this position will be handling reporting for the region via spreadsheet data collection and distribution. Basic medical terminology; Basic arithmetic. Safe vein puncture techniques, and knowledge of safe work practices in a clinic setting. Strong telephone and communication skills. Must be able to speak clearly and communicate effectively over the phone and in-person. Must be able to work independently and with a team; must be highly adaptable, and able to remain positive and professional in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Experience answering the phone and scheduling patients in a medical office setting. Experience working with E-Clinical Works is preferred. POSITION SUMMARY :
At MyCare Medical, we strive to make sure our patients receive the highest quality, most cost-effective care. We have a dedicated team supporting our providers, giving them the time that they need to care for each patient and ensure a comfortable and patient-centric experience. The Regional Operations Support Specialist, under direction of the Area Director, is responsible for supporting the practices in their assigned area by serving as a float to cover Operations employees out on leave. Additionally, the Regional Operations Support Specialist may be assigned practice-based projects to support regional practice operations and MyCare initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Support practices by filling in at assigned clinics within the region for Front Office Coordinators and Medical Assistants during employee absences. While covering for positions within MyCare clinics, responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Welcome patients into the office, creating a warm and friendly experience. Assist with completion of medical records & history forms, filing accordingly.
Assisting with daily / weekly / monthly report collection and distribution.
