What You Will Do
The Caterpillar Accelerated Leadership Development Program is designed to provide experienced professionals with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience that enables them to make a real-world impact. MIT LGO graduates who join Caterpillar, a proud LGO partner company, will have the opportunity to complete a multi-phase program that includes :
- Participant choice of three rotational assignments that include but are not limited to the following areas :
- New Technology Validation
- Autonomy Design
- Product Electrification
- Product Value Chain Design
- Strategic Procurement
- Lean Innovation
- Manufacturing Operations
- Field Assignment (Mine Site Autonomy Deployment or Services Growth)
- Mentorship by a senior Caterpillar Executive
- Intentional Leadership Development & Experiential Learning Opportunities.
- One 1218-month developmental international assignment

Analytical skills, initiating ideas, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilitiesKnowledge of engineering principles, theory, and engineering experience gained through projects, internships, and / or relevant work experiencesFundamental understanding of engineering for a manufacturing environment, ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or inventionOrganize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ability to quickly gain, and effectively apply new skills & knowledgeSuccess in collaborating with others of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, and abilitiesStrong written, and verbal communication skillsParticipate in, and build on our inclusive, constructive, and productive work environmentEnsure all team member's contributions are recognized and valuedDegree Requirements :
Currently attending a 2-year accredited university / college MBA program and have completed an Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science DegreeOther Requirements :
Expected graduation by August 2026Must be willing to travel and relocate domesticallyTop Candidates Will Also Have :
Hands-on Experience : Participation in campus design or competition teams, or similar hands-on technical projects.Leadership Skills : Demonstrated leadership in team settings or project management roles.Industry Exposure : Previous technical internship, co-op, or other relevant professional experience.Communication Strength : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Additional Information :

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
