PCU RN Job Details – Charleston Healthcare Jobs Location : Charleston, SC (29425) – Southern hospitality and coastal living Unit : Neuroscience 9E (Main Hospital) Facility Type : Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital, Magnet Status Contract Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : December 8, 2025 End Date : March 9, 2026 Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am), holidays as needed Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : 4-5 weekend shifts per 4-week period Floating : May float to other units within scope Patient Ratios : 1 : 3–1 : 4, based on acuity Charting : EPIC electronic medical records Scrub Color : Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470 - $1570 PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit or Stepdown RN experience Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State / Compact Nursing License (pending license with proof of application accepted) Certifications : American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Clinical skills : Blood product administration, central line care / management, cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration), dysrhythmia management, rapid response / code teams, non-invasive airway management Ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and manage oxygen administration EPIC charting experience preferred First-time travel nurses welcome PCU RN Responsibilities Deliver direct nursing care to PCU / Stepdown patients in the Neuroscience unit Monitor and manage patients with complex neurological and medical conditions Administer medications, blood products, and manage central / peripheral lines Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to rapid response / code situations Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR Float to other hospital units within nursing scope as needed Comply with hospital policies, including attendance and emergency protocols during hurricane season Why Choose Charleston, SC?
