Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for outpatient and inpatient coverage, requiring a current CA license and at least 2 years of experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position involves a mix of outpatient services in Brookings and support in ARU and inpatient settings
  • Day shift, Monday through Friday schedule
  • Weekend inpatient coverage required
  • Patient population includes individuals with disabilities or developmental delays
  • Use of electronic health records for documentation
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, and conducting occupational therapy programs to build or restore daily living and vocational skills
  • Expected to provide clinical supervision to assistants and / or aides
  • Serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
  • Participation in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including equipment disinfection
  • Compliance with department and organizational policies and procedures is required
  • Return staff policy applies : must be gone for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
  • Only 1 holiday will be approved for requested time off
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing ACA

  • Current CA Occupational Therapist license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
  • Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule from the facility
  • License required if applicable
