Role :
The trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and coordinating training programs to enhance the
knowledge skills, and performance of team members within the credit union. This role plays a crucial part in
developing a well-trained workforce that delivers exceptional service to members and meets organizational
objectives. Provides support and serves as a resource for continuous improvement within the credit union by
assessing employee training needs. Demonstrates and maintains an up-to-date knowledge of and ensures on-
going compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, such as BSA, OFAC and internal policies and
procedures.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
Training Program Development :

training day. Delivers training session on site.
Work with management in all departments to see where improvements need to be made, as
well as be available to coach specific team members if they need additional training on a
subject
Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and report of expenses.

1. To meet all training objectives and goals established for the year.
2. To maintain a basic understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures, as
well an understanding of the Credit Union's mission.
3. To complete reports and records accurately and in a timely manner.
4. To relate any problems in training effectiveness to the supervisor, making recommendations to resolve
them.
5. To provide friendly, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
Knowledge and Skills :
Experience Minimum of three years in a financial environment with expertise in credit / financial services
and training.
Education (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry
as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal
Skills
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature.
Motivating, influencing, and / or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become
important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and / or individuals)
becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and / or sell ideas or services to
others.
Other Skills Must possess excellent verbal, written presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to operate related computer software and business equipment including 10-key,
telephone, slide, film, overhead projector, and other related training aids.
Professionalism in appearance, dress, and attitude is a must.
Advanced skills with MS Office programs (Word / Excel / PowerPoint). Advanced skills with
applicable financial operating and lending core systems is essential.
Must be flexible and available to work a non-standard work schedule, including evening and
weekend hours. Must be willing to travel both locally and regionally. Overnight travel maybe
required.
Physical
Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to walk, bend and kneel as required. Must be
able to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
Work
Environment
Must have a valid driver's license and driving record in good standing.
