Brake Press

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

We are seeking a 1st Shift Press Brake Operator who is dedicated, detail orientated and with a desire to work OT (as much as you want - most employees average 50 hours a week) to operate our 230 ton Cincinnati Press Brake.

Responsibilities: (what you will be doing)

• Operation and programming of the 230 ton Cincinnati Press Brake
• Produce materials according to specifications
• Inspect materials produced for quality and conformance
• Correct any inconsistencies
• Cleaning of the machine and area surrounding the machine
• Maintenance of machine

Requirements: (what it takes to be successful)

• Must have at least 2 years' experience in machine operation/brake press operation
• Willing to work unplanned OT to complete a rush job
• Must be able to read blueprints and be math proficient
• Experience in a Manufacturing setting
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must be highly motivated
• Able to communicate and work well with others
• Pay attention to details and have a strong drive to succeed
• Must pass competency test as well as pre-employment physical including drug screen
