Special Education Teacher (LBS1) – Illinois Districts

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is looking for dedicated and knowledgeable Special Education Teachers with a valid LBS1 endorsement to support students throughout Illinois. This school-based, full-time position is centered on delivering personalized instruction and targeted supports that meet diverse learning needs. Through the creation and implementation of IEPs tailored to both state standards and student-specific goals, you will play a vital role in fostering academic progress and personal development.

In this role, you will utilize research-driven teaching practices, monitor student performance through regular assessment, and adjust instructional approaches to ensure student success. Collaboration will be essential—you’ll partner with classroom teachers, service providers, and families to create an inclusive, well-structured, and nurturing learning environment.

Key responsibilities include modifying middle school curriculum for learners with mild to moderate disabilities, keeping accurate records to meet compliance requirements, actively participating in IEP meetings, and supporting positive student behavior through reinforcement-based strategies. The position also encourages ongoing professional growth through training and development opportunities.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred. A valid Illinois Professional Educator License with an LBS1 endorsement is required. Successful applicants should have experience working in resource settings and with small-group instruction, along with strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to thrive in a team-based educational environment.
