Job Description
This position will be located in our San Diego (UTC area) office with a 4‑day onsite schedule (Monday‑Thursday) and 1 day work‑from‑home (Friday). We are growing rapidly to help invent the future of Real Estate, with Data Science playing a critical role in that growth.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the continued improvement of CoStar’s cloud‑based machine learning environment.
- Design, build, test and deploy scalable, reusable and maintainable models that handle large amounts of data.
- Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and leadership to create ML solutions that solve practical problems and improve our customers’ experience.
- Gain an understanding of the CoStar business and how ML can improve things.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science / Data Science or a related field. MSc or PhD is a plus.3+ years of professional development experience as Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist or related role.3+ years of programming experience with modern languages such as Python.Work experience with recommendation systems, LLMs, NLP libraries.Strong math and analytical skills.PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with ML cloud tools such as Databricks, Amazon Personalize, SageMaker.Experience with SQL‑based relational databases (e.g., AWS RDS) or document‑based databases (e.g., DynamoDB).Experience solving streaming and batch data processing problems at scale.Experience building, deploying and optimizing ML models.WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
