Trash Technician

We are hiring immediately for full time Trash Technician positions.

Location : Ascension St. Thomas Midtown Hospital - 2000 Church Street, Nashville, Tennessee 37236. Note : online applications accepted only.

Schedule : Full time; Days may vary, 3 : 00 pm to 11 : 30 pm or 11 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am. Rotating weekends and holidays. More details upon interview.

Requirement : Prior experience with the collection, handling, transporting, and disposing of medical and biohazard waste is preferred.

Fixed Pay Rate : $15.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary : Collects, transports, and properly disposes of trash and bio-hazardous materials following established safety protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Identifies, transports, and disposes of trash, chemicals, and bio-hazardous materials using proper safety procedures.
• Performs cleaning functions as assigned; properly operates cleaning equipment as designated.
• Recognizes safety hazards and acts accordingly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
