As a Product Management Transformation Executive Director in Infrastructure Platforms, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.

The Product Management Transformation Executive Director will implement and continuously improve product management capabilities across IP product domains. Sitting within the IPPM Product Operations function, this role will assist product management professionals to drive consistency, maturity, and excellence in how product managers operate. The ideal candidate is a seasoned product management leader or coach with a passion for enabling others, deep empathy for the challenges of technical product management, and the ability to connect strategy with day-to-day execution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
  • Enable and scale unified product management approaches tailored to Infrastructure Platforms product domains, partnering with the Product Management Practices Lead to enable the standardized practices and frameworks they define.
  • Coach and train PMs across IP to ensure consistency in how they define problems, set priorities, and measure outcomes.
  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve educational resources for IP product management.
  • Lead and develop a team of product management professionals who partner with PMs across domains to elevate their skills and impact.
  • Design and deliver structured learning experiences, including training sessions, workshops, and peer coaching programs.
  • Provide 1 : 1 coaching to PMs at various levels, helping them strengthen core skills such as stakeholder communication, roadmap development, and data-informed decision making.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Champion a culture of customer-centricity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within IP product teams.
  • Proven experience leading product transformation efforts across multiple teams or portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of modern product management practices, such as discovery, design thinking, prototyping, journey mapping, competitive analysis, addressable market segmentation, prioritization, and roadmap development.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop others, both individually and at scale.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex concepts clear and actionable.
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skills - able to connect day-to-day practices to organizational strategy and outcomes.
  • Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Recognized thought leader within a related field
  • Experience working in technical product management or within infrastructure product domains.
  • Background in leading or contributing to Product Operations functions in large or complex organizations.
  • Formal training or certification in product management coaching, product leadership, or agile product methodologies (e.g., ICP-APO, Pragmatic Institute, SVPG Training etc.).
  • Experience building and delivering product management training programs or implementing capability frameworks.
  • Strong change management skills and familiarity with organizational design for product-led delivery.
  • Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
