LOCATION : ABOUT THE POSITION

The Billing Specialist will coordinate quality assurance of transactional activities related to billing. This position is responsible for providing oversight to the end-to-end invoicing process while providing transactional support. This role will provide resolution to customer inquiries externally while escalating additional items to appropriate personnel as needed. This position predominately reviews and oversees all transactional activities involved in the invoicing process and will work to resolve customer billing inquiries by corresponding and negotiating terms with the customer.

Deliverables & Responsibilities

  • The Billing Specialist is required to review all processed customer invoices for validation against the sales order, any related shipping documents, and accuracy of customer information, supporting receivables ledger close management, error resolution, productivity and quality key performance metrics and reporting.
  • Dispute and / or Credit Memo processing when needed to resolve customer issues.
  • Contribute to tracking and managing key performance measures (or KPIs), including achieving timely and accurate invoice delivery.
  • Maintain customer relationships and analyze customer information.
  • Escalate and resolve customer billing inquiries in a timely manner. Drive customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain customer relationships and review and analyze customer information.
  • Escalate the customer billing process and resolve billing issues.
  • Understand the AR function, key policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Liaise with AR function to communicate deposits and other relevant customer information that would impact billing.
  • Discuss account resolution with internal parties and provide valuable insight and solutions to prevent further discrepancies.
  • Provide feedback relating to customer adjustments and deductions.
  • Perform month-end tasks. Support AR month-end activities with Site Controller or designee as required. Assist with quarterly / annual audits.
  • Participate in Quarterly Oracle Cloud upgrade testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT or Functional Testing).

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are :

  • Two years of college or technical school accounting courses; or two to four years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The individual should be knowledgeable of PCs and Microsoft Office programs.
  • The individual should be well organized, able to handle multiple tasks and be able to change directions when necessary.
  • The individual should demonstrate dependability and have a high degree of accuracy.
  • The individual should have strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • The individual should have a strong focus on customer service.
  • The individual should possess basic verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
  • Experience working in a SOX environment, preferred.
