Arrowmark LLC is hiring a Human Resources & Safety Generalist to join our Team. The HR & Safety Generalist is a hands-on representative of the Human Resources and Safety Department whose job is to help facilitate all Human Resource and Safety functions on a professional level including but not limited to : payroll administration / weekly processing, employee relations, recruiting, onboarding / offboarding, benefits, compiling and maintaining employee related information and files, employment law compliance, special projects, and other human resource activities. This position also assists the department with administrative duties related to safety. Construction experience is a plus. Experience with iSolved and HCSS is a plus.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assists with Recruiting and Onboarding / Offboarding
- Promotes a positive workplace culture and addresses any issues related to employee morale and well-being.
- Helps to administer employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
- Assists employees with payroll, benefits, and other HR related inquiries.
- Assists with the benefits open enrollment activities.
- Ensures data confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Handle day-to-day HR administrative tasks, such as processing paperwork, maintaining HR databases, and managing personnel files.
- Handles all aspects of payroll and processes weekly payroll under guidance of the Director, HR & Safety
- Completes payroll reporting, analysis when necessary, and responsible for quality assurance with the payroll process.
- Manages the payroll processing, onboarding / offboarding, and benefits modules of the HRMS including all updates and conversions.
- Ensures employees are following best practices with clocking in and out and time off requests.
- Helps Managers and employees with all aspects of payroll.
- Partners with HCSS Specialist with all aspects of time keeping.
- Completes all certified payroll reporting as necessary.
- Assists and completes all monthly and end of the year functions and reporting related to HR & Safety
- Provides required reports to other departments when needed such as 401k reporting, payroll audits, etc.
- Assists with employee event planning and employee recognition
- Supports the Director, HR & Safety and assists with HR and Safety projects and initiatives as necessary.
- Travel to complete errands, visit job-sites and other company locations on occasion.
- Assists with administrative duties related to Safety such as : scanning, filing safety reports, updating safety tracking sheets, creating meeting minutes, etc.,
- Contributes and promotes all safety policies, procedures, and practices
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years' experience in an HR roleBachelor's Degree desired, High School Diploma or GED requiredPHR Certification desiredKnowledge of payroll and HR related legal requirementsFluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish is requiredA high level of Microsoft Suite experience, specifically in Excel is required2-5 years' experience processing payroll, experience and knowledgeable about payroll laws, regs, garnishments, Davis Bacon, conversions,etc.,2-5 years' experience working in a HRMSDemonstrates integrity, has the ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality, flexibility, sound judgment, strong intuitive skills, and be results drivenAbility to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks and meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThis position is considered a safety-sensitive position and is subject to the company's drug and alcohol policy, as well as all OSHA regulations.Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting is required. May occasionally be exposed to extreme weather such as heat or cold when travelling and visiting other locations.
