Job Title : Regional Sales Manager - Mid-West
We're looking for a technically savvy, mechanically minded Regional Sales Manager to drive business development with OEM customers. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys working closely with engineers, operations teams, and purchasing groups to develop solutions that improve performance and reliability. This is a mid-level position. Region ND, SD, NE, IA, IL, IN, MI, WI, MN, and occasionally further. It would be preferable for the candidate to live somewhere between northern Illinois and South Dakota. Compensation is a salary with yearly bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with OEM accounts within the assigned region.
- Identify new business opportunities by understanding customer applications and challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to provide custom solutions that meet technical and commercial goals.
- Manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting to closing - with a focus on long-term customer partnerships.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to guide product positioning and growth strategy.
- Represent the company at trade shows, plant visits, and technical meetings (approximately 40% travel).
- Maintain accurate account data, forecasts, and activity reports in CRM.
What We're Looking For
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude - comfortable discussing engineered products and manufacturing applications.Proven ability to identify and solve problems creatively for customers.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.Self-driven and organized , able to manage multiple priorities with minimal oversight.Prior experience with OEM or industrial customers is helpful.Preferred Background
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).Understanding of manufacturing, industrial components, or engineered materials.Experience in selling technical products to OEMs.
