Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.

Ensure sterile environment by maintaining and monitoring surgical instruments and equipment.

Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.

Collaborate with surgical team to ensure patient safety and successful outcomes.

Monitor patient vitals and report any changes to the surgical team.

Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.

Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate patient records.

Assist in the development and implementation of surgical protocols and procedures.

Evaluate and improve surgical techniques and processes for efficiency.

Engage in performance reviews to assess and enhance personal and team effectiveness.

Contribute to a culture of safety and quality in the surgical environment.

Support inventory management by tracking and ordering surgical supplies.

Experience / Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technician First Assist certification required.

Minimum 2 years experience in surgical assisting or related field.

Commitment to continuous professional development and training.

Proficient in maintaining sterile environments and monitoring surgical instruments.

Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with surgical team.

Strong analytical skills to evaluate and improve surgical techniques.

Ability to document surgical procedures accurately and maintain patient records.

Experience in developing and implementing surgical protocols and procedures.

Ability to engage in performance reviews for personal and team effectiveness.

Proactive in tracking and managing surgical supply inventory.
