Fit Club Instructor - Sulphur Springs Community School

POSITION SUMMARY :

Under the supervision of the Director of Youth Health and Wellness, the Fit Club Instructor will facilitate the weekly instruction of the curriculum, physical activities and monthly snack demonstrations representing a positive attitude and image of the YMCA through quality implementation of the program to meet the needs of the participants and their families.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Program Quality and Growth

• Instruct 2 classes in-person weekly of the Fit Club Fitness program, including set up and tear down, daily dashboard, attendance and participant activity data tracking.
• Work in collaboration with the Sulphur Springs Community School staff and leadership to ensure a positive experience.
• Attend all staff meetings and trainings as assigned.
• Provide overall leadership, supervision and quality control for the program.
• Maintain headcounts and staff ratio at all times.
• Work closely with the Sulphur Springs Community School to create / maintain and improve relations with all staff in order to work together to reach and engage parents and children.
• Greet parents and children. Maintain a high level of professional courtesy with parents, facility personnel, staff and clients at all times. Know all parents, staff and children by name.
• Create a positive atmosphere, which boosts self-esteem and general self-concept for all participants.
