Hayden Pet Hospital is seeking an Assistant Veterinary Hospital Manager who is passionate about elevating team culture, strengthening collaboration, and supporting the hospital’s overall operational success. This role is ideal for someone with veterinary experience who thrives on leading others, improving workflows, and helping teams perform at their best.
As our Assistant Hospital Manager , you will partner closely with the Regional Managers and Medical Director, playing a key role in day-to-day operations, staff development, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll help build a positive, cohesive environment where both people and pets receive exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Team Culture & Leadership Support
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented environment across all departments.
- Support conflict resolution, coach team members, and reinforce hospital values.
- Assist in staff development through mentorship, performance feedback, and training support.
- Help build strong communication pathways to improve collaboration and trust.
Operational & Administrative Oversight
Support daily hospital operations, ensuring efficient workflow and alignment with hospital protocols.Assist in managing scheduling, staffing needs, and department coordination.Oversee inventory processes, equipment upkeep, and facility needs.Financial & Business Support
Participate in budget review, financial tracking, and payroll oversight as directed by leadership.Support initiatives that drive hospital efficiency, service utilization, and revenue growth.Use data and reporting tools to identify opportunities for improvement.Client & Community Experience
Support client communication standards, assist with resolving concerns, and ensure a positive experience.Help develop and support community outreach and marketing initiatives.Schedule, benefits and compensation
This is a full-time position, and schedule flexibility is required based on business needs.

3+ years of business management experience requiredVeterinary experience is preferred but can be developedExceptional communication skills with a collaborative and servant leadership approachResilience and adeptness in handling emotionally charged situations.Proficiency in budget management.Experience with team training and supervision.Strong computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Capacity to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision.At Hayden Pet Medical Center, we believe in acceptance, growth, encouragement, and positivity —the core values that drive our practice culture.
