Internal Audit Interns in the Atlanta office will assist staff with testing the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. Daily, an intern within Internal Audit will work independently to conduct controls test work, and assist with seasonal substantive testing for various annual audits. This opportunity affords interns exposure to all Norfolk Southern departments involved with financial expenditures, and the capacity to contribute meaningful results used by the company for their annual financial statement, R?1, and benefit plan audits.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Willingness to study reference materials, ask questions and resolve problems

• Ability to manage time, prioritize work demands effectively, and meet deadlines without sacrificing standards of work
• Ability to interact with various levels of management while being positive and professional
