Rmo Business Management Officer
The RMO Business Management Officer plays a pivotal role in driving the operational rhythm and strategic execution of the Risk Management Organization (RMO). This role is accountable for orchestrating leadership routines, advancing strategic initiatives, and ensuring seamless coordination across enterprise functions. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Chief Risk Officer and senior leadership, this role leads the execution of high-impact activities that align with RMOs strategic priorities and enterprise risk posture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Design and lead RMO leadership routines (e.g., weekly leadership meetings, expanded forums, town halls, market visits), ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and operational excellence.
2. Own the development and delivery of executive-level presentations and communications, maintaining a high standard of clarity, influence, and impact.
3. Lead planning and execution of enterprise-wide events such as the Risk Summit, ensuring outcomes align with RMOs strategic narrative and engagement goals.
3. Serve as a strategic liaison with the Communications team to shape and refine RMO messaging across internal channels (e.g., newsletters, The Source).
4. Drive execution of strategic and business-as-usual (BAU) initiatives in partnership with RMO leaders, ensuring measurable progress and accountability.
5. Champion teammate engagement, leveraging data and insights to implement initiatives that elevate RMOs engagement scores above enterprise benchmarks.
6. Act as the primary integrator across enterprise functions (e.g., Finance, HR, Legal, PEI, CREW), ensuring RMO initiatives are executed with consistency, compliance, and cross-functional alignment.
7. Lead and deliver ad hoc strategic projects that advance RMOs mission and enterprise risk capabilities.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications :
1. Bachelors degree in Business, Finance or science / academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience.
2. Seven+ years of experience in administration, risk management, operations, or in the financial services industry.
3. Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment in a matrixed environment.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into executive-ready deliverables.
5. Strong executive presence and presentation skills.
6. Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, operational execution, and change management.
7. Advanced relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
8. Experience independently managing enterprise-level projects with high visibility and impact. Willingness to travel occasionally based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications :
1. Broad understanding of enterprise risk management and banking operations across multiple lines of business.
2. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or completion of leadership development programs (e.g., Banking School, Executive Education).
3. Familiarity with enterprise functions such as Finance, HR, Legal, and Corporate Real Estate, and their integration into risk governance frameworks.
