Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg / Tele position in Ohio, focusing on surgical and burn patients and requiring a current OH or compact license. Responsibilities Work in a Med Surg / Tele unit with 22 beds and an average daily census of 20 Serve adult and geriatric patients with burns, plastic and reconstructive surgeries, urology, GYN, ENT, and oral / maxillofacial surgeries Special procedures include burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy Epic is used for documentation and Pyxis for medication management 12-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, scheduled three times per week Coverage required every other or every third weekend Float as needed within the hospital system Responsibilities include care for adults with burn and surgical needs, including specialized procedures Support services such as IV / pharmacy, respiratory therapy, PT, social work, and rapid response are available Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as scheduled Locals are accepted for this assignment at the same rate Candidates must complete fingerprinting promptly following contract signing, with specific instructions provided RTO must be requested at the time of application and built into the contract Former employees are eligible after a 6-month break; current employees are not eligible Dress code and scrubs requirements will be provided during onboarding Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of application Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg / Tele experience with similar patient populations Two professional references are required; at least one must be from a supervisor, manager, or formal leader Previous charge RN and teaching hospital experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629667.
