PeaceHealth is seeking a Counselor - Behavioral Health for a Per Diem / Relief, 0.00 FTE, Variable position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $35.56 – $53.34. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing initial assessment, crisis intervention, individual and / or group counseling and therapy (as appropriate to licensure) to patients / clients experiencing mental and / or behavioral health issues.

Details of the position

• Provides initial clinical assessment of patients / clients needs based on presenting concerns.
• Triages patient / client for specific therapy focus if applicable.
• Provides individual and / or family therapy (as appropriate to licensure) for patients / clients of all ages.
• Provides ongoing counseling services and follow-up as needed.
• May provide case management and coordination with other treatment agencies or outside support services as needed.
• Prepares and maintains all required treatment records and reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
