As a Behavior Technician (BT) at New Story Schools, youll provide one-on-one and small-group support to students in home and community settings. Youll implement individualized plans that build academic, social, and life skills, helping each learner grow in confidence and independence. Working within a collaborative, mission-driven team, youll play a vital role in creating meaningful progress for students with special needs.
What Youll Need
Associates degree or a minimum of 48 semester credit hours from an accredited institution
At least three months of professional or internship experience supporting individuals with behavioral or learning differences
Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and active auto insurance coverage
Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators
Ability to remain patient, adaptable, and professional in dynamic learning environments
What Youll Do
Deliver individualized instruction based on each students IEP goals
Support students with autism and other learning differences in home and community settings
Implement evidence-based strategies to promote academic, behavioral, and life skill growth
Collect and report data to monitor student progress and guide instructional decisions
Partner with families, teachers, and clinicians to ensure consistency and support across environments
