Position Title : IAM Technical Lead / Architect

Location : Richmond, VA (Remote)

Position Status : Contract

Pay Rate : $62 / hr - 65 / hr on W2

Position Description :

We are seeking an experienced IAM Technical Lead / Architect to drive the design, development, and integration of enterprise identity and access management solutions. In this role, you will lead cross-functional projects, modernize authentication systems, and architect secure IAM solutions that support SSO, MFA, conditional access, and Zero Trust principles . You will act as a subject matter expert, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with application, security, and compliance teams to ensure resilient and scalable identity services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead enterprise IAM integration projects across diverse applications, systems, and technologies.
• Architect and implement IAM solutions with SSO, MFA, conditional access, and Zero Trust frameworks .
• Design and maintain secure RESTful APIs for cross-platform integration.
• Guide teams in migrating from legacy authentication to modern standards (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, SCIM) .
• Monitor IAM platform performance, troubleshoot integration challenges, and ensure operational resilience.
• Partner with security and compliance teams to enforce governance and regulatory controls.
• Serve as IAM subject matter expert, providing mentorship to engineers and administrators.
• Track and recommend IAM platform enhancements (Microsoft Entra ID, Okta).
