At JTM Construction, the role of the Service Manager is to lead, oversee, and coordinate the service operations of the company. The Service Manager will be the first point of contact for all service calls and responsible for service projects for JTM. The Service Manager is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality service project delivery to clients. The Service Manager is responsible for managing field service personnel and maintaining customer satisfaction. This role plays a key part in managing post-construction support, repairs, warranty work, and small-scale construction-related services.

The full salary range for this position is $150,000 - $215,000, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications. The bonus target for this role is 3% - 10% of annual base earnings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, dispatching, and supervising service technicians and field crews.
  • Coordinate warranty and post-construction service requests with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Conduct site visits to assess service needs, provide prompt estimates for service opportunities, inspect completed work, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of service work, client communications, parts and labor costs, and warranties.
  • Track service metrics (e.g., response time, resolution time, customer satisfaction) and implement improvements.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Budget and forecast for the service department, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Provide technical support and training to service technicians and junior staff.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to support seamless service integration across projects.
  • Work with technicians to manage inventory of tools, materials, and service equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and usage.

    Requirements : SKILLS

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction, service management, or related field; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage large numbers of service projects and large amounts of information at one time
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • OSHA certification or safety training preferred.
