Position Details

Facility : BayCare Health System - Sleep Disorders

Location : Morton Plant Hospital

Status : Full Time, Exempt : No

Shift Hours : 6 : 30PM - 7 : 00AM

Shift : Nights

Weekend Work : Occasional

On Call : No

The Polysomnographic Technologist III is responsible for the performance of all the Sleep Disorders Center procedures in accordance with technical standards in the essential job functions approved by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST), and the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). Required to maintain and improve his / her level of clinical and technical knowledge in all aspects of the Sleep Disorders Center and may provide oversight and supervision of other technical staff within the Sleep Disorders Center.

Experience Required

Polysomnography - 4 years required

Electroencephalography (EEG) - 4 years required

OR Respiratory Therapist (RRT) 4 years required

Preferred - 5 years Polysomnography

Education Required

High school or equivalent

Technical Diploma / Associates Degree - Polysomnographic; Or Technical - Electroencephalogram (EEG); Or Technical Respiratory Therapy

Specialty : Neurology - Respiratory Therapy - or Polysomnography preferred

Credentials Required

BLS (Basic Life Support)

RPSGT (polysomnography) / RRT / Relevant Specialty

CRT or LPN
