Security Guard
Skagit Valley College is accepting applications on a continuous basis to establish a talent pool of applicants for Security Guard positions. The position is part-time, hourly, typically working 15 or fewer hours per week during the period of Monday through Friday within business hours of 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. Work days and hours may vary based on the needs of the program. Temporary positions may only work 1050 hours or 12 consecutive months from the date of hire, whichever comes first. This is an applicant pool for ongoing consideration as positions become available. These positions are based at the Whidbey Island Campus in Oak Harbor. Candidates will be directly contacted by the department as employment opportunities arise.
The Security Guard provides security services to the SVC community and will monitor and patrol the college campus buildings and grounds to maintain security from fire, theft, unlawful entry, property damage, and vehicle prowling. The position reports to the Director of Campus Security and takes direction from the Campus Security Officers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, such as but not limited to lifting 25 pounds or less, walking and standing for long periods of time, and turning keys repetitively.
