As the Director of Product, you'll lead the charge in bringing innovative AI learning solutions to market. This role is perfect for a visionary who thrives on launching products successfully, shaping strategy, and driving adoption in a dynamic, matrixed environment. Primary Responsibilities
Product Strategy & VisionDefine and evolve the roadmap for the commercialized AI solutions, including Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Advanced Topics tracksTranslate internal success metrics and learner feedback into market-ready features and positioningDetermine the product-service mix (e.g., self-service vs. supported delivery) and clarify what is being soldIdentify market opportunities and conduct competitive analysisCustomer & Market ResearchGather and analyze customer feedback, usage data, and market trendsTranslate customer needs into actionable product requirementsProduct Planning & ExecutionLead decision-making on content ownership, branding, and delivery models, resolving gaps in accountability and strategic directionDevelop and prioritize product features, user stories, and requirementsMaintain and manage the product backlogCollaborate with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality featuresMonitor product performance, KPIs, and success metricsLifecycle ManagementOversee the full product lifecycle from concept to launch and beyondContinuously evaluate and improve product performance and customer satisfactionStakeholder Alignment & GovernanceServe as the central point of alignment across Optum AI, OTU, Fractal, Legal, Procurement, and Sales teamsRepresent the product in executive reviews, steering committees, and commercialization workshopsLearning & Development IntegrationCollaborate with L&D teams to embed AI-first mindset and role-based learning pathways into the commercial offeringEnsure training content aligns with responsible AI practices, legal standards, and healthcare-specific use casesSales Enablement & Client EngagementCollaborate with Sales and Marketing to define success metrics, learner personas, and client onboarding flowsSupport SOW development and ensure clarity in program scope, certification expectations, and KPIsAct as a liaison to clients during pre-sales and post-launch phases, ensuring alignment between expectations and deliverablesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in product ownership or program management, ideally in EdTech, AI training, or healthcareSolid understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and enterprise L&D platformsFamiliarity with AI technologies, especially Generative AI, ML, and Python-based training environmentsExceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in complex, multi-team initiativesPreferred Qualifications
Experience launching at least 1 successful product in the market in a highly matrixed environmentExperience with commercialization of internal programs or training productsKnowledge of Databricks, Thought Industries, and enterprise LMS / LXP systemsBackground in healthcare, responsible AI, or legal compliance in training contextsThe salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
