The Nursing Technician performs, under the supervision or direction of a Registered Nurse, those duties to assist in safe treatment and care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

• Assists with admission of patients re : reception, equipment preparation, vital signs, obtaining actual weights, orientation to surroundings and implementation of safety measures
• Performs direct care with attention to personal hygiene, safety, comfort and skin care while anticipating the needs of the patient and family.
• Performs oxygen equipment preparation, phlebotomy, 12 lead EKG, Arrhythmia interpretation
• Responsible to prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as directed. Distributes water and other nourishments as directed.
• Assists and / or transports patients in a timely and safe manner.
• Collects and transports specimens maintaining standards mandated by regulatory agencies.
• Demonstrates understanding and cooperation with the prep process for the OR in a timely fashion
• Transports patients to the CTICU

Posted Salary Range

USD $27.68 - USD $35.99 / Hr.
