Counter Sales Representative

Hours : Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. NO WEEKENDS.

Job Summary / Objective of Job

The individual applying for this position will be responsible for performing a variety of customer service-related duties. These duties will include, but not be limited to, in-store sales, answering sales-related phone calls, providing customers with estimates / options, assisting walk-in customers, looking up parts, creating work / sales orders, creating pick tickets and selling Valley Truck Parts, Inc. parts and services.

Summary of essential job functions

• Promote Valley’s product in a professional manner
• Sells products and / or services to repair the problem, and meet the customer’s needs
• Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledging all customers he / she comes in contact with
• Record all sales and / or customer transactions that occur
• Follow prescribed cash, credit and check processing procedures of Valley Truck Parts, Inc.
• Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in job description
• Use equipment and resources safely and proficiently
• Work with the dispatch to ensure product is delivered to customers in a timely manner
• Follow-up with customers, as needed
