Job descriptionCase Preparation Court Filings & Case Management Arbitration & Mediation Support Client & Attorney Support Current law student (2L / 3L) or recent law graduate; paralegal certificate or prior legal experience a plus. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Familiarity with federal and state court rules and e-filing systems (CM / ECF, PACER). Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with legal practice management tools preferred. Professional demeanor, discretion, and ability to handle confidential matters.
Key Responsibilities :
- Legal Research & Writing
Conduct research on statutes, case law, and regulations; draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence for attorney review.
Assist in preparing deposition outlines, witness lists, and trial exhibits; support attorneys in drafting briefs and case chronologies.
Prepare and electronically file pleadings in federal and state courts; manage case files, deadlines, and calendars across multiple jurisdictions.
Coordinate case intake and conflict checks; assist with scheduling and logistics; prepare draft documents and budgets; provide technical support for remote sessions via Zoom / Teams.
Help prepare presentations, proposals, and summaries for client meetings; maintain communication with clients and experts in a professional manner.
Qualifications :
Compensation : $40 - $42 an hour
