Ultrasound Technologist I (Weekend / Nights)

Time Type : Full-Time

Schedule

  • Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7 : 00 p.m. – 7 : 00 a.m.

Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist I performs quality routine and specialized ultrasound procedures while developing knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and patient care techniques essential for successful imaging outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Develop the ability to recognize abnormal findings that may require immediate attention and promptly notify the interpreting radiologist.
  • Learn to troubleshoot and report issues with ultrasound equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families, explaining procedures in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Demonstrate understanding of emergency equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • Required Education

  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent) from a two-year college, technical school, or nursing diploma program.

    • Required Work Experience

  • No prior experience required (training provided).

    • Required Certifications

  • One of the following licenses or registries is required (or must be obtained within two years of hire) :
  • RDMS, PS – American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
