Job description

Director of Accounting

Fully Remote- ideal candidate based in South Florida or EST time zone.

Responsibilities of the Director of Accounting :

  • Accounts Payable Management : Oversee the AP team and vendor relationships, including negotiations, escalations, and payment terms. Maintain AP procedures, approvals, and reconciliations.
  • Payroll Management : Supervise payroll processing and act as ADP liaison. Support and train payroll staff, partner with HR to ensure accurate and timely payroll.
  • Accounts Receivable / Collections : Manage AR and collections, ensuring timely invoicing, monitoring overdue accounts, and improving cash flow.
  • Treasury Operations : Partner with finance leadership on cash flow, banking, liquidity, and risk management strategies.
  • Financial Reporting : Prepare accurate financial reports for payroll, AP, and AR. Collaborate with accounting and finance for accuracy.

    • Qualifications of the Director of Accounting :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 7-10 years of proven experience managing multiple Finance Operations functions in a complex organization, including AP, AR / Collections, Payroll, Treasury Operations, or Procurement.
  • Start-up or tech industry experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with ADP, NetSuite, or Great Plains highly preferred.
