Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Education : Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine training program.
  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting as a nuclear medicine technologist.
  • Completion of ongoing training and competencies relevant to the role.
  • Preferred : 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Required Licenses / Certifications :

  • Certification from one of the following : ARRT (R), ARRT (N), ARRT (T), or NMTCB.
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from the Texas Department of Health.
  • Role Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and ensure effective operations of assigned personnel. Evaluate performance and motivate staff.
  • Lead meetings that promote success and foster open communication.
  • Maintain inventory and service records for equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care.
  • Understand organizational processes and impact decisions on various departments.
  • Analyze data to identify issues and develop solutions based on best practices.
  • Utilize resources effectively to meet departmental productivity standards.
  • Additional Role Expectations :

  • Manage access to radiopharmaceuticals and non-controlled medications as applicable.
  • Support the mission of the healthcare system and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Adhere to safety policies and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Comply with the Code of Conduct and report any violations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications :

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Graduate from vocational school with relevant certifications.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
  • Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist or State License in Nuclear Medicine.
