Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, a leading academic medical center and part of RWJBarnabas Health—New Jersey’s largest integrated healthcare system—is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist to join our team in Newark, NJ. This is a full-time clinical role with a focus on both ambulatory and inpatient neurology care.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and proficiency in performing and interpreting EMGs. The role includes direct involvement in resident education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to advancing neurology protocols and stroke care standards across the hospital.
Position Highlights :

Clinical Responsibilities :
Diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders including :Intracranial Hemorrhage, Encephalopathy, Demyelinating Disorders, and Status EpilepticusTraumatic Brain Injury, Subarachnoid / Subdural Hemorrhage, and Neurological InfectionsPost-op Neurosurgical Recovery and Neurological PrognosticationAssist in stroke program development and participate in stroke call rotationEducate patients, families, nursing staff, and residents on neurology care and treatment plansParticipate in Joint Commission certification and performance improvement initiativesContribute to the Stroke Advisory Committee and community education / outreach eventsCandidate Requirements :
MD or DO degreeBoard-certified or board-eligible in NeurologyEligible for New Jersey medical licenseEMG / NCS interpretation skills requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCommitment to patient-centered, evidence-based careThe anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $300,000 to $365,000 per year.
