Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide personalized evaluations, assessments, prognoses, treatments, and education tailored to each patient's unique needs. Services are delivered across a variety of care settings including inpatient acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient environments. This role requires adherence to professional ethics and standards, maintaining productivity, and fulfilling weekend and holiday duties as needed. Continuous professional development and evidence-based practice are strongly encouraged to ensure clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with safety and infection control protocols.
- Conduct thorough and individualized patient evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Deliver care in inpatient acute, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings based on patient and organizational needs.
- Fulfill weekend and holiday work requirements according to employment status.
- Utilize sound clinical judgment to assess all relevant patient functions and complete timely documentation.
- Participate actively as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide mentorship opportunities when requested.
- Comply with all applicable laws, policies, and organizational standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications
1 to 3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist preferred.Proficiency in occupational therapy modalities, interventions, and procedures is required.Advanced Practice Certification is preferred.Strong computer skills including MS Office suite and standard office equipment.Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Strong customer service orientation.Education
Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program or professional school is required.Licenses and Certifications
Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Occupational Therapy Board of California.Current BLS certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) required upon hire.Advanced Practice Certification in Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, or Intervention and CNT or CNT eligibility preferred for NICU roles.OTR certification required; NBCOT certification preferred.All candidates must successfully complete a physical evaluation, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements or approved exceptions is mandatory.
