• Experience managing COVID patients in labor, C-Sections, and Antepartum

Description :

This position is in a Labor and Delivery unit.

The unit has 19 labor beds, 5 OBED beds, 3 PACU beds, 3 Surgical beds, and 8 Antepartum beds.

There are approximately 55 staff members on the unit.

The day shift typically consists of 1 charge nurse, 2 OBED nurses, 3 operating room nurses, 2-3 Antepartum nurses, and 10 labor nurses.

The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 2 OBED nurses, 2-3 Antepartum nurses, and 10 labor nurses.

Patient ratios are 2 : 1 for labor, 3 : 1 for OBED, 4 : 1 for Antepartum, and 1 : 1 for the operating room.

The unit utilizes CPN and Meditech for electronic medical records.

Candidates preferred for this position should possess advanced family medicine skills.

Typical procedures performed on the unit include C-Sections, cerclage, and BTLD&C for PPH only.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate great teamwork and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.

There may be weekend shifts required, with a minimum of 2 mandatory weekend shifts per month.
