Patient Services Representative
The Patient Services Representative is responsible for courteously and professionally responding to patients in person or directing calls and inquiries; and for collecting all monies for services rendered. PSR has overall responsible for patient registration and insurance certification. One full-time (1.0 FTE) position available.

Education and / or Experience :
High School Diploma. Knowledge and experience using computer and EHR software. Prior Experience healthcare or basic understanding of health-related terminology and services.
Language Skills :
Fluent in languages of the population we serve preferable. Demonstrate effective written and verbal skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for extended periods at a desk while operating a keyboard and answering calls. Must have ability to perform repetitive motion (e.g. keyboarding). The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and long periods of viewing a computer screen.

Evaluation Methodologies :
Staff will be evaluated through observation and reports on productivity of performance standards for quality improvement purposes. Staff will also be evaluated on their adherence to the Service Excellence standards, as well as effectiveness as a team member.
