A school-based educational program is seeking a Substitute Paraprofessional to provide instructional and behavioral support to students during short-term or daily substitute assignments. The position assists in maintaining a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment that supports all learners’ needs.
Responsibilities / Duties :
Assist teachers and specialists with classroom instruction, supervision, and learning activities
Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students with academic or behavioral needs
Implement strategies outlined in student IEPs or behavior-support plans
Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, or recess periods
Record and report behavioral or academic observations accurately
Follow school policies, safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements
Participate in required training and complete school fingerprinting as part of onboarding
Qualifications / Desired Experience :
Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or classroom support preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary coursework in education a plus
Strong communication, patience, and adaptability skills
Must be willing to complete additional school fingerprinting prior to placement
Dependable and professional with the ability to adjust to various classrooms and student needs

Hours are not guaranteed and shifts will be offered on an as-needed basis according to school needs.
Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $48.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
