In this scam, fake recruiters are creating misleading email addresses, conducting remote interviews and extending fraudulent job offers to collect personal and financial information. This type of fraud is normally carried out through online services such as fake websites or through fake email addresses claiming to be from the company. Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering teams. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on growing and supporting a team of engineers to develop secure, scalable microservices and mobile / web solutions for our healthcare platform. The ideal candidate will bring deep engineering expertise, strong people management skills, and a passion for driving technical execution in a mission‑driven startup environment. This position reports to the VP of Engineering and offers significant opportunity to influence product strategy and engineering excellence.

Work Setting

This is a full‑time hybrid position based in California, Illinois, or New York, with onsite presence as per the schedule proposed by the manager. Candidates should expect regular in‑person collaboration, and occasional travel (up to 15%) may be required across these states or to West Virginia for customer site visits, team offsites, or relevant industry events.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5–8 software engineers across backend and mobile app development
• Provide mentorship, technical direction, and career support for engineers at all levels
• Define engineering roadmaps and architectural strategy in partnership with the VP of Engineering
• Oversee development of platform microservices and Flutter‑based mobile applications
• Manage engineering delivery timelines, release planning, and sprint execution
• Ensure all solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with HIPAA and HITECH
• Drive integration projects with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts)
• Collaborate with product, clinical, and regulatory teams to deliver cross‑functional outcomes
• Cultivate an inclusive, high‑performing team culture rooted in psychological safety and transparency

Compensation

Total compensation for this role is expected to fall within the range of $150,000 to $190,000 annually , depending on experience, qualifications, and alignment with the responsibilities outlined. Additional equity and performance‑based incentives may be available.
